We organize prearranged and tailor made pilgrimages and tours to Jordan; travel arrangements are made by Sam Smith Travel and Zaman Tours.​

The pilgrimages we offer are designed for you to get the most out of your visit to The Holy Land. We arrange for you to visit all of the main tourist destinations, as well as a few extras along the way.

 

Our pilgrimages range from four, six or eleven nights. However if you would prefer an itinerary more suited to your needs then just let us know how long you would like to go for, how many people in your party and the tourist destinations which you wish to visit.

FOUR NIGHT TOUR

DAY 1 // ARRIVAL AMMAN

Welcome to Jordan! Finalize the airport procedures and head to your hotel in Amman.

Overnight stay in Amman 

DAY 2 // WADI AL KHARRAR – BETHANY – DEAD SEA SWIM - AMMAN

After breakfast, we head to Wadi Al Kharrar where John the Baptist lived and the traditional site where Jesus was baptized. We now proceed to the Dead Sea - which is the lowest point on Earth and nature’s best spa – for a floating experience. Upon completion, we head back to the hotel in Amman.

DAY 3 // MADABA – MT. NEBO – AL KARAK – PETRA

After breakfast, we head to visit Madaba, a city best known for the famous 6th century Mosaic map of Jerusalem & Holy Land and for its spectacular Byzantine and Umayyad mosaics. Proceed to Mt. Nebo (site only as the church is closed down for renovation) a city mentioned in the bible as the place where Moses was granted a view of the promised land that he would never enter. We continue to visit Al Karak’s famous Crusaders’ Castle which was built on a triangular plateau dating back to the 12th century. Proceed to your hotel in Petra.

DAY 4 // PETRA VISIT - PETRA

After breakfast, we visit the Nabataean Red Rose city of Petra, one of the 7 world wonders and a UNESCO World Heritage site. We enter the city through the 1KM long narrow gorge which is flanked either side by 80m high cliffs! Notice the dazzling colors and formations of the rocks. The site is massive, and contains hundreds of elaborated rock-cut tombs, a treasury, Roman-style theatres, temples, sacrificial altars and colonnaded streets.

DAY 5 // DEPARTURE PETRA – AMMAN AIRPORT

Transfer to Queen Alia International Airport for departure to your final destination.

DAY 1 // ARRIVAL AMMAN

Welcome to Jordan! Finalize the airport procedures and head to your hotel in Amman.

DAY 2 // JERASH – AJLOUN – UMM QAIS – AMMAN

After breakfast, we head to visit the ancient Roman city of Jerash, a city filled with paved and colonnaded streets, soaring hilltop temples, theatres, spacious public squares and plazas, baths, fountains and city walls. Now, proceeding to northern Jordan to visit one of the most important ecological and historical sites in the Middle East; Ajloun. Ajloun Castle (Qal’at Ar-Rabad) is a fine example of Islamic architecture as it was built by Saladin’s general in 1184 AD to control the iron mines of Ajloun, and to counter the progress of the Crusaders. Proceed to Um Qais, previously known as Gadara, a city renowned as the site of the famous miracle of the Gadarene swine, a cultural center in its time and the home to several classical poets and philosophers. Promenade through Um Qais and see its colonnaded street, vaulted terrace and the ruins of two theatres. Back to your hotel in Amman

DAY 3 // AMMAN CITY TOUR – BETHANY – AMMAN 

After breakfast, we tour the downtown part of capital city Amman for 2 hours, visiting sites and museums including the Archeological Museum, the Folklore Museum, The citadel and the Amphitheatre. Everywhere you look there is evidence of the city's much older past! Now, we proceed to Bethany (Christ’s baptism) site by the Jordan River. Back to your hotel in Amman

DAY 6 // 2ND VISIT OF PETRA – PETRA

After breakfast, you get a chance to explore the city again starting from one of Petra’s most spectacular sights, the High Place of Sacrifice Here is a place steeped in history, where children and animals were sacrificed and although rejected by Abraham the practice was carried out by Manasseh who then repented and was mysteriously fulfilled in Christ. Afterwards, you will visit the tomb of the Roman Soldier. Back to your hotel in Petra.

DAY 7 // 3RD VISIT OF PETRA – LITTLE PETRA – PETRA

After breakfast, a final chance to visit Petra. Later in the afternoon, we head to Little Petra (the white one) a second close to Petra known to locals as Al Baidha. Back to your hotel in Petra.

DAY 8 // FREE TIME IN PETRA (SOUK) – WADI RUM JEEP RIDE - AQABA

Spend some free time to explore the local shops (Souk) in Wadi Mousa. Noontime, check out and head to explore Wadi Rum (AKA Valley of the Moon) on a 2-hour jeep ride into the Jordanian desert. Then we head further down in southern Jordan to visit the sole gulf city in Jordan; Aqaba. Aqaba’s sandy beaches and coral reefs are the most pristine on the Red Sea and a major attraction to divers.

DAY 9 // FREE DAY IN AQABA – AQABA

A day free at leisure in your hotel in Aqaba.

Spend the morning free at leisure in Aqaba. Noontime, check out and transfer directly to the Dead Sea to spend the day free at leisure.

DAY 11 // AM FREE AT THE DEAD SEA – MA’IN HOT SPRINGS SWIM – DEAD SEA   

Spend the morning free at leisure at your hotel in the Dead Sea and then experience the wondrous therapeutic water of Ma’in Hot Springs. Noontime, check out and transfer directly to the Dead Sea to spend the day free at leisure.

DAY 6 // WADI RUM JEEP TOUR – LITTLE PETRA – PETRA  

After breakfast, we head to Wadi Rum also known as Valley of The Moon for a 2-hour jeep ride into the desert. Now, we head to visit a second close to Petra; Little Petra which is also known to the locals as Al Baidha (the white one). Upon completion, head back to your hotel in Petra.

DAY 7 // DEPARTURE PETRA – AMMAN AIRPORT

Transfer to Queen Alia International Airport for departure to your final destination.
